Mortgage & CC with Chase - Ch 13

    Hi all -

We are planning to file Ch 13 in a few months. One of the cards we will default on is with Chase. Our mortgage (which we are and will be current on) is also with Chase. Any chance this could create some kind of problem or complication?

    Thanks

You should not have any problem if you are current and will stay current on the mortgage. Your problem with Chase will be in the future in trying to obtain any further credit with anything affiliated with Chase.

We are absolutely current and will stay that way - it's the first bill I make sure gets paid. As to future credit... we're going to be staying away from the plastic for a loooooong time! We have obviously proved ourselves unable to use credit responsibly at this point...
