    What to do?

My wife finally was laid off today, and tomarrow I will have my attorney file a motion to suspend for 90 days. I was wondering if we should have are 13 amended to lower are payment, or wait 4 months and be under the 7 means and file a 7. Calculating with are current income are payment would be 1000 dollars less than when we filed, as our income has been reduced by over half even before the layoff.

Wait...have the payments suspended, if after 3 months your wife cannot find employment, then you have change in circumstances that can justify conversion to a 7 (assuming you want to do a 7).

We live in a area where there are no jobs, I don't see her finding a job anytime soon, unless she works for minimum wage and partial unemployment. If we have a late payment on are mortgage, will we be dismissed on are current 13. She will not get unemployment untill end of March at the earliest, and the mortgage will be a week late looking at are checkbook. I don't know what the Bk trustees expect when people go through these situations.
