Last payment made!!!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT

According to 13datacenter, and the trustee's assistant I spoke to yesterday I am done making payments. It list my status as "about to close" on the ch13 site, and they already received and cashed my IRS check I sent them. As well as having a confirming email and call from my trustee's assistant documenting they recieved my 2008 tax returns. This is important, as the last two years the trustee filed motions to dismiss for my failing to provide the tax returns and monies in a timely fashion. Both were thrown out by the judge once the court clerk (nice lady) confirmed to him that I had sent a copy of the emailed taxes to her on the email to the trustee's office, BOTH TIMES!!! Not to mention I sent canceled check PDF's showing the cashed checks which were months old. Figured it was better to be proactive with the case coming to a close. I wish you all the best with your cases, and that you all succeed in completing your 13's.

DOA, "Dead on Arrival", it sounds like the cards are now in your favor. Good luck.

Thank you for all the well wishes folks. It was a loooong battle. I hate to say it, but I think once the economic hard times hit, and the trustee office became busier with all the new cases they had something else to fill their time other than filing dismissal request and modification objections. Or maybe the judge helped them reach an epiphany,........they always lost because they were wrong, so move on! I counted it up today, 8 motions to dismiss and 3 objections to modification in 36 months, all unsustainable, and most for lack of follow up on their account. Thanks again folks.

Good job DOA. Husbands was discharged in November. I will never forget the day that it posted that it was paid off. 9/23, I spent years looking forward to that date just to have my mother die suddenly and unexpectly. What should have been joyous was just sorrow. It is nice not having to pay every month or feel like someone is watching you. At least I know that the only person watching me now is my mother! Congrats.

Congrats on finally making it! They practically set you up to fail in a 13 and in this economy they really showed no mercy at all. I am glad you made it through.

I had an 'about to close' listed on 13datacenter for most of Dec 08 and Jan 09and it showed that I did not owe anymore. Then when I requested a review, my case became active again and twice they upped my % of payback. I found out it was because of my mortgage company trying to get the stay lifted (they failed, I keep good records) and a bunch of those costs got added on the end of my term! (what a bunch of jerks). Currently I have about 4 more payments and half of this years taxes and I should be done.

I am on a mission now and I will not let them make me fail. I am a totally different person now and oh so much stronger. Let me put it this was; I am up for the fight if I don't see an end to this real soon.

                    Filed - 9/26/05 (old law)
                    341 - 10/28/05
                    Confirmed - Nov 05
Ordered to pay 75 payments (36 months) and half of tax returns
Paid to date: 3 payments at one amount prior to confirmation
75 payments at a higher amount after confirmation
half my tax returns (still waiting for 2008 return)
additional $2400 to date that was tacked on the end
                    and still owe $1500!!!!
(Originally payback was 18%, then 28% now 32.5%)

What else will they come up with to get more money out of me?

Just curious, in your signature you state a 48 month repayment plan. How does that work as I thought there were only 36 or 60 month plans?
