Social security income

Hi, I've seen some post mentioning disability checks but my questions is about receive ss retirement. I will be eligble to receive ss in two years. Is this income included in my ability to pay a ch 13? If I am two years into a 13 will this up my income so that my payment will go up? I would not be 100% payback. Would it be better to wait out the 5 years before filing for ss?

I just joined the forum hoping to get an answer to this question. A relative may have to file BK and the only income he has is SS.

Part I Report of Income, Line 9 states clearly that social security benefits are *NOT* included in the income calculation.

"Income from all other sources. Specify source and amount. If necessary, list additional sources on a separate page. Total and enter on Line 9. Do not include alimony or separate maintenance payments paid by your spouse, but include all other payments of alimony or separate maintenance. Do not include any benefits received under the Social Security Act or payments received as a victim of a war crime, crime against humanity, or as a victim of international or domestic terrorism."
