    13 Data Center

Wanted to know how accurate this site is. Here's the situation. It shows my last payment and the fact that 7k has not been distributed. Here's the issue according to the numbers on the site (Amount of plan and amount paid into plan), there is a current difference of just over 10k. How accurate is this info? And if so, can I just send in that amount for the difference and start the dismissal process? Any help would be appreciated.

    Stats: $2,900/month -- 40/42 months completed

I meant discharge process, not dismissal.

I believe it is your trustee's office that updates this data, so how accurate it is would depend on how accurate they are. Based on my trustees activity on 13 Data Center, his office updates as soon as they get my check each month and as soon as they disperse funds. I would definetely contact them for a payoff and not trust what that website says.

Thank you, that's what I thought. We are supposed to have 2 payments left at $2.9k/month, but the site calculations show we owe less than that ($4200). I was actually going to send in that amount ($4200) today (1st day air) and then contact the trustee.

DO NOT do that unless you talk to your lawyer first and he/she okays it. The last thing you want to do being so close to the end is mess things up now.

The correct procedure is for your lawyer to contact your trustee and request an early payout amount. The amount you see on 13 Data Center is not dependable, and you don't want your trustee thinking at this point, "wow, maybe they could afford to pay more to creditors.....I'll go check their tax returns for extra income" (see what I mean?). Doesn't mean it will happen, but why take the chance? Talk to your lawyer first.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
