creditors address

Hi- I'm trying to complete the packet for our lawyer (prob filing chap 13) and I have to list creditors addresses.

Which address should I use- the payment address or correspondence address?

I also have another question- our lawyer said we could do a lien strip on 2nd mortgage, but we didn't refinance to pay off debt. The 2nd mortgage was obtained to purchase the house- can we still get it stripped off?

Do not use the address to where you send your payments. Look on the back of the bill for the "bankruptcy" or "correspondence" address. You can also check for that information on the creditor's website if they have one. You can also call them and ask customer service for their correspondence or bankruptcy address.

Flam, is right. Go to the office, as the payments only go through a "proof department'. As far as stripping mortgages, I don't know, this is where your lawyer comes in handy.

If you cannot find the address, they will find you and you can always amend. 'Hub
