    And so it begins...

I didn't make my Discover payment 6 days ago. They called 3 times today already in the last 5 hours. Should I call them and explain or just let the machine get it?

Have you retained an attorney? Do you plan to file BK, if so when? I told my creditors as soon as I retained my attorney, the same time I stopped paying the CCs.

I spoke to one but didn't retain yet. He says Ch7 for me is a piece of cake.
I didn't expect them to be that aggressive yet. Good grief, I just got my Jan. bill. Dec. was due the 23rd. I've never been late before maybe thats why they're calling. I can't wait till Feb. when I stop paying the other 4. Luckily they're not due until the middle of the month.

Just send the calls to your attorney.

        Good Luck!

If you pick up the phone and just talk to them they'll go away for about a week in the early stages. Otherwise the phone will keep ringing and ringing and ringing. As you cross each 30 day threshold after that they get a little more persistent. It's most painful when you have 30+ credit cards..trust me on this.

I was late 4 days on Citi and my phone starting ringing off the hook. It annoyed me so much, I decided to call my creditors to let them know, the calls slowed down but didn't stop completely. I also had the ring shortened to go into voicemail and turned my ringer off.
