See now that was condescending and uncalled for.

Call it what you will. Im done.
Perhaps the problem is with your perception. You will get great advice on this forum but it might not be sugar coated to spare people's feelings. There are many people who have already been through the bankruptcy process and are willing to come back here and answer questions to help make things easier for the new folks. Going through bankruptcy is a very stressful time for everybody involved and sometimes this causes people to be extra emotional and see things that aren't really there.

The 8 month question was a legitimate one. A lot can change in 8 months and the answers you get from your lawyer today might not be the same as the answers you might get from him in 8 months.

Sorry, but you know nothing of my case, and your 8 month hypothesis is just wrong. Nothing will change in 8 months, I will still owe them the money, it doesn't just go away.

I never asked for a sugar coated answer, and there is nothing wrong with my perception.

Dont you have something else better to do?

Or do you want to answer the question that was started in this thread, instead of patronizing me?

      Good day

No, I no longer have any desire to help you with your problems. Good luck with your bankruptcy.

No "problems" here, just simple questions.

very interesting.......would that also include a secured mortgage ?? Lets say for example your home is worth $500k, but you have leins totaling $700k. property value has gone down due to mortgage crisis , but not far enough to do lein strip. would you list currrent value of the property, and wait for the lender to dispute it ?? If they don't dispute, you only owe what you listed ?? tough question, but worth asking.........thanks

Nope, because there is no mechanism in the BK code. Secured lenders on your primary residence are entitled to their full security interest.

              As to the other issues...

Optimistic, Big Picture, all I meant by that comment was that of all issues in a chapter 13, this one is so minor that to address it now is somewhat pointless. As careful and thoughtful as your lawyer may be, he/she is not even going to care about your situation until you are about 6 weeks from filing. On this forum, feel free to ask your questions...but to try to address this now with your attorney is somewhat pointless. Best Buy is a blow hard, they talk tough, but don't carry a stick. Yes, it is a secured debt, but who cares, stop paying, you will get some calls and letters from Bass & Assoc., just ignore them.

When it actually comes time to file your chapter 13, then you can worry about how they will be listed...which I have already described to you, so there is really NOTHING you need to do or worry about in this regard.
