Wow. What a day. I'm now confirmed and the order of confirmation is being drafted by the Trustee. I need to update my blog later, but here's some fun facts.
I had NO OBJECTIONS to confirmation from the Trustee at all. Never, none. it was actually making me nervous, but there were zero from the Trustee.
The only two objections I did have, came from the same lawyer representing two creditors. I worked with them last week, but the attorney in court today apparently didn't get all the information.
So, me, the Trustee assistant and the lenders attorney took a conference room and made sure all their issues were in the new Plan and by motion or order. Everything was fine... went back int he courtroom, and the Trustee herself was there and says I'm okay to confirm. The judge went through some things with that one creditor, with two (2) motion for relief from stays, an agreed order to vacate, and an objection to confirmation. Told the judge we were good to go as all issues were already addressed.
CONFIRMED!!!
When talking to the creditor's attorney, she was shocked at my Plan and the language included. They are trying to get similar language in all the plans and she liked mine (blush). Asked if I ever went to law school (nope, never, but used to study with my Brother when he was at BU Law... does that count?).
Another attorney, who I've seen in the courtroom and everyone seems to want to talk to him, told me "nice job" on my way out.
I'm feeling good. When I told one of the lawyers that I studied about 300 cases, they were just like "wow". All of my motions, objections, orders, oppositions, answers were all in local format, consistent, and listed relevant points of law or grounds for relief.
Now on to the hard part... staying in Plan!!!
