bouncing mortgage check and filing

My sister and her husband are filing Chapter 13 in Texas. But, they've bounced their mortgate payment in a house they just recenly got. My dad is planning on sending her money, even though he's bailing them out montly for some problem or another.

My question is pretty much --- what will him bailing them out do to their bk?

by being "with in" the bk, do you mean having filed or after the 321 meeting?

After filing. Once filed, your case is open. If Dad contributes to their income in anyway, he must be listed. If they wish to pay Dad back, then he must be listed as a creditor.

It is my opinion, that if Dad becomes a milk cow, your folks will never learn to control their spending as Dad is becoming an 'enabler'.

You know the parable of the fish, give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he eats for life.

Bk is serious and made for a new start. Otherwise they will be back and in worse condition. My opinion, take it or leave it. I've seen it before. 'Hub

They do not need to do anything and their Dad does not need to send money.

The missed payment(s) can be rolled into the chapter 13 plan.
