Hi Cwillie: You will do fine; you've been reading here for a while, so I know you know what to bring, and if your lawyer has told specific things to do or bring, you are prepared! Go get 'em. And good vibes are headed your way."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

The 341 is over! Everything went fine. We got there early to watch some of the others ahead of us and to calm ourselves down. Took us an hour and a half to drive there, and our "meeting" lasted all of five minutes. Our attorney asked us about ten questions and we were out of there! I have to admit though, I was nervous even after listening to the others ahead of us. Now we just wait for confirmation.

I am glad yours went so well. I also got nervous watching other people...especially when a creditor showed up. There was this creditor in the room and he said to one couple he was representing some bank. I thought "whew...that is not my bank" but then the same guy told the next couple he was representing another bank. I thought yikes...this must be the area bankruptcy lawyer for the banks and credit unions. Thankfully he wasn't there for me...he did stay even after I left so he must be representing other banks also.

There were about six people--one pair being a couple--that were taken ahead of us. The couple were converting their BK, but I don't remember which way. They had a business and were asked questions specific to that. Then there was the one lady, pro se, that did not have proper ID. Everyone was asked the 'standard' questions, but everyone was asked at least one or two questions specific to their individual case. I started getting nervous, wondering what we were going to be asked. But we ended up being okay."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

The only creditor at the hearing was the IRS and she did stand up for some of the others before us. She was there when we left. One gal filed pro se but didn't have anything right from what I could tell. The trustee was telling her what she needed to do and even offered her a list of attorneys to help her! I'm just glad it's over and now we wait for confirmation.

truly though what do the creditors have to stand on during all this? broke is broke. I am sure my credit union is going to show up. They retained a law firm to attempt collection before i filed. They just stopped calling today, so i am sure they got the notice. I had a maxed out card and a vehicle i gave back. that was in february when i stopped paying. I am sure they are going be there to contest it, but really not sure what the can argue.filed 13 07-31-08
confirmed 10-28-08
33 payments down 3 to go
