Hey all,

I just received word from my lawyer that they have submitted my chapter 13 paperwork. I now have a case number.

Odd as it may seem, I am kinda happy about it.

How long did it take from when you gave the them go ahead to submit it? Good Luck, I too will feel better once it is officially submitted, even though we want to wait till June 16th.

It took the lawyer about 2 and a half weeks. I had gone over the filing paperwork in their office.

I just had to give them updates on my living expenses.

Congrats! I am filing tomorrow, and I can hardly wait. That sweet little case number is the ending of my creditors calls and the beginning of a fresh start. I'm sure its gonna be a long haul, but its been a long haul for many years playing "keep up" with my credit card bills. Best of luck to you, and my we both be confirmed in a timely manner!

I just mailed my documents to my lawyer and hopefully will be hearing from them soon.

I just filed last Friday and what a relief. It took me 4 months to pay for the lawyer.

Welcome to the 13 club. I don't think it's odd that you are happy about it. What a relief huh? It's like you're drowning in all the debt, and now you have a life boat. You still have to make it to the shore, which will take time, but you're taking control and doing something about it, instead of letting it control you. I appreciate all the responses. I am hoping for low payments, but I guess that depends on the trustee....
