Expenses prior to filing chapter 13

    All,
I am about to file chapter 13. I had a question concerning a couple of expenses I had.

First of all, I had 5 broken teeth extracted which set me back about quit a bit. Also, I had to replace my bed.

I was wondering if I would have to justify these expenses to the Judge or trustee.

    Thanks

How did you pay for those?

I had used my debit card for the purchases

Your teeth should not be a problem as anything medically/dentally necessary should not be an issue that has to be taken care of and cannot be put off. The bed may be an issue; you don't state the circumstances as to the replacement, but if it was a necessity and not a luxury bed that cost a fortune, you should not have any issues whatsoever.

          Thanks!
The old bed frame had been broken and the mattress springs were poking out.
The new bed was on sale, and it was a no name economy brand.
