    341 Meeting today!!!

Well Our 341 Meeting is today. I am trying to be calm but I am a ball of nerves. I met our trustee last night at a "educational" meeting and he seemed very personable and gave me the impression he wanted all of us to succeed.

I will check in later and give my insight on what went down.

Are you in the northern or southern district of ohio? I am in the southern and have had no problems with the trustee. Just wondering if he mentioned anything about the stilmulus refund checks. I know that we have always gotten to keep our refunds.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay. I am in southern Ohio too and I got to keep our tax refund. It was pretty big so we declared it as an asset and it bumped up our payment but at least we have a savings account again. Our 341 was smooth sailing. Just a couple of questions about name, ssn, and that kind of thing.

They were interested in the fact we transferred ownership of one of our semi's to my husband's dad but it was really his truck all along and when we did it, we were just trying to get out of debt. We hadn't even thought of declaring bankruptcy at that time. Oh well. Now it's just a waiting game until confirmation. Our lawyer was awesome. Anyone want a referral, send me a PM. We don't even have to go to the confirmation hearing. Yay!!!

This will be a long road. But finally light at the end of the tunnel isn't a freight train bearing down on us. One bad thing happened today though. My employer got notice of my wage deduction order. How embarassing. I hope one day I get over that feeling. I know what we did was for the best.

Thanks to everyone who has answered my questions and been supportive! I couldn't do this without you guys!

              Congrats Buckeye

Just curious, why would declaring your refund as an asset bump up your plan payment?

                Laurannm,
Our fed and state refund was about 13K. (Thanks to our total business failure putting us in BK in the first place.) Due to that amount, it had to be claimed as an asset.

Sorry for the late post. Our computer has been acting up.
