do creditors normally file claims after the 341

ya never know....my brother had to send out a notice when he changed his 341 date...didnt make a difference.

still had a very large amount of creditors not file, which was great cuz he is in a 100percent.

I just checked Pacer, Cindy and it says that the creditors have until March 10th to file claims and March 31st to file an objection to discharge. I think AMEX will love that they have more time now. They are objecting to that $4200 that I put on the card 3 months before filing (not even thinking BK really at the time )
I haven't heard a thing from my attorney though. Does he just handle them or do you think he will contact me?

Hey....did you talk to your attorney? if Amex objected, then I think there should be a hearing.

not yet. They said they were giving us until the 28th and then she ( the atty ) was going to take it back to her client to see if they want to pursue objections and litigation.
I havent heard from my atty yet but now that they have more time, I think we could be in trouble! I will pay them their $4k but how??

To object I believe the creditor has to have a valid reason. Not sure that they can object just on the basis on having put 4200 on your card 90 days prior to filing. Google the reasons for objection in your area and see what comes up. And chapter 13 is about compromise. Maybe you will have to pay a couple more dollars a month to shut amex up.

Trust me AMEX is a card company backing the new laws, you will know something either from your attny or the Courts themselves

Oh, they filed a complaint as of Friday...and I did google the objection which is completely valid. They can do this based on the new laws.
