    3 lawyers

ok i have read and reviewed replies to my posts. they all say try 3 diffrent atterneys. i gave one atty a retainer before i found this site. my question is do i risk three hundred, his paperwork says non refundable, to go to another one or stick with this guy, he seams like he knows what hes talking about.

    my other issue is-
how low are the average payments? he got me to 250 a month. does this sound right? were about $90,000 in the hole, without one card that we are going to pay back as of now, and the other house is going to the bank.
i am going nuts. sorry for the crazyness.

If you feel good with this attny, then stick with him/her. If you're at all curious, go out and Consult around with different attnys. See what they have to say about your case.

The retainer being non refundable,.......... From your post, sounds like the attny has spent some time working on your case file. Maybe done the Means Test. Possibly done I vs J. If so, he/she could have invested a billable hour of time. So if you do decide to walk, the attny probably did enough work to earn keeping your retainer.

There is no such thing as an "average Ch 13 payment". The payment you end up with is totally dependent on how your personal financial numbers stack up on the Means Test and Schedules. There is no direct relationship between how much you owe and how much your monthly payment is.

And, Don...don't apologize for feeling crazy...we've all felt crazy to some degree Hang in there - you'll feel less stressed once your case is filed.
