Call your lawyer if you have one. If not, call the trustee's office and ask them. They should at least be able to stop your payments if they are no longer disbursing.
Congrats on hanging in there and finishing.

First, congrats on successfully completing your Ch 13! That's fantastic!

At the end of your Ch 13, your trustee has to complete an audit to ensure that all the money you paid into the plan has been disbursed as ordered by the court. This can take 2-3 months to complete - even several months longer for a complex case.

Arkie has the best idea. Ask your lawyer what to expect or if you didn't file with a lawyer, call the trustee's office and ask very politely about the status of your case. Until you get the official word that you are actually discharged, keep paying your payment. You don't want to mess things up now so close to the end. Any overpayments will be returned to you at the end of the audit.

Good luck - hope you won't have much longer to wait!

Payments have stopped being deducted could someone let me know what's going on now. My lawyer says its out of his hands now. I know he can't do anything but at least keep me posted as to what step it's on. The waiting is harder than the last 2.5 years of making payments.

"Esate" is a typo. It should read "estate".
