No remorse here, I paid for it and in turn have BK on my file for the next 10 years. So no remorse here. Yeah, I take responsibility for accepting credit and getting myself in too deep. But the creditors should be partly to blame for putting themselves out there. AND they still make "billions," of profit every year regardless how many people file BK. So no remorse here.

I feel 0% remorse for filing!! I feel a little remorse for the choices I made that led to my filing, but because some of the circustances were beyond my control I do not feel a lot of remorse.

          Not really

I only felt remorseful of the fact my wife and I couldn't control our spending, and had to use Ch 13 to get us back in line.

We're on a 100% payback plan at $1700 per month, and it hasn't been easy, but in 2 months when the last payment is sent in, I'm pretty sure I'll be feeling something that is the direct OPPOSITE of remorse!

I agree. $1700 per month seems high to me. I make about $53k per yr and the median in La is about $34k. At first glance, the atty. told me I would have to repay about $975-$1000 per month. I think this is high as well, but what else can we do? My only concern at this point is what happens in the case of an emergency.

Ask CityGirl. I explained to her a few weeks ago how monthly Ch 13 payments are calculated on a complex set of cross-comparisons that determine how much disposable income you show on the Means Test and Schedules. In this case, quickteg's disposable income after the dust settled on all the calculations was very likely....you guessed it....$1700/month. Every case is unique to itself.
