if I get a part time job before confirmation hearing? I filed Ch 13 on 6/21/07 & creditors meeting was on 7/16/07. I work full time & normally work a part time job also, but 4 months prior to filing I didn't have a part time job, now I have a job offer & I was wondering if I take it before my confirmation would it make our payments increase?

It depends on the trustee. Some want to know if there have been any changes in your income, some don't ask.
We have had a major change and if anyone would take just 2 minutes to think about it, they would figure it out, but they haven't. We were asked to file an amended Sch J because we gave up a large secured asset and they wanted to see what our expenses were. Of course, part of the reason for this is because our budget was ridiculously low to begin with to cover the secured and priority assets but apparently, they were letting it slide. Now that we aren't paying for that asset, it looked like we would have an extra 1k to apply toward the unsecureds. Hence the need for the amended Sch J but they never asked for an amended Sch I. The attorney asked for updated paystubs, but didn't submit them to the trustee, following the old rule of don't ask, don't tell.
So to answer your question, run it by your attorney to see if you need to inform the trustee if there is a change either up or down in your income. He or she will know best how it is handled in your area.I used to have a life, now I have grandkids. -
