Inheritance Follow Up

Hello everybody,

Just a follow-up to let everyone know what is going on. My mom passed away in April 2007.Based on the small inheritance and insurance $$, it looks like I may receive approximately $8,000. I am sure that the trustee will gobble this up. I have composed a letter that I will e-mail to my attorney when I receive the money. I have explained in the letter about my DH's 2 knee replacement surgeries that he will need to have in the future. I am hoping that the trustee will apply $$ to plan and car payment (paying outside of plan) so I can get out 1 year earlier, but who knows? I am not real hopeful, though, that this will happen. I am sure that he will take the $$ and make me pay the remaining 34 payments. I just needed to talk...I am feeling pretty blue today and miss my mom.

So sorry to hear about your mom. It is difficult to let one go, I still miss mine terribly too, and it's been 6 years. She was my best friend.

So sorry to hear about your loss, $$. My mom died eight years ago and I still think about her nearly every day. Time does help and mostly the memories are good ones, but there are still some days when I miss my mom terribly and shed a tear for losing her to lung cancer when she was still so young (65).

Hope your trustee is one of the understanding ones - my fingers are crossed for you. And share one good memory of your mom with your friends today - that will bring a smile, although for you it may be a sad one. Hang in there, and come back for virtual <hugs> here on the bad days any time.
