    What now?

I am so frustrated, I can't stand it!

Remember I fired lawyer #1 on Jan 30 and signed with a new attorney on Feb 01. He has filed nothing with the court to let anyone know that he is the replacement. He didn't ask for anything down, just said we would roll his fee into the plan. He indicated that we would ask for a continuance for the confirmation hearing so we could amend the plan.

My confirmation hearing is Thursday and he has done anything. Today I called the trustee's office to ask what was the last date that we could request the continuance, which apparently is called "a pass". I was transferred to the trustee's voice mail to ask for the pass myself and to explain why. Well the trustee called me back, asked what happened with #1 and said I could file a grievance. Trustee indicated that he would call #2 and that I should hear from #2 soon. That was more than 7 hours ago and not a word and nothing on Pacer.

Do I fire #2 and look for #3?

If you think I should look for #3, would you recommend a board certified this time or someone who is on the Chapter 7 trustee panel. I found a list of who is on the panel, so now I have a good list to choose from.

Or do I just put all of this in the hands of a Higher Power and quit checking pacer, and let the cards fall where they may?

Do I show up at the confirmation hearing to ask for the pass myself, just to cover my bases?

Did I mention that my most major secured creditor has objected to the confirmation and asserted that my plan was filed in bad faith?

    What do I do now?
I used to have a life, now I have grandkids.

You can look for BK attnys who practice where you live here:

The better attnys, generally speaking, are the ones with a Martindale Peer Review grade of A or B. Many attnys don't even get peer review rated. Could be by choice. Not sure. But our attny was Martindale Peer Review Rated. They, the attny and/or the paralegal, responded to every email and phone call. Answered every question. Gave us good advice. I think our whole process was made a whole lot smoother by hiring a good attny.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.
