Wow, we got a refund from trustee.

It seems so weird. We are in month 9 of a 60 month plan. Our plan was to pay a certain amount for 6 months and then the payment went down in Dec.
The court order has not happened for the reduced payment yet so my employer is still taking the original amount from my checks.
Yesterday we recieved a check from the trustee for just under $400.

I figured they would just reduced the months remaining in the plan, not send $$ back.

Is this common? Have others got $$ back throughout their plan? We didn't persue anything. NDC shows the new amount and has since Dec. 1st.

I wonder if this is because we have a new trustee and he is trying to get everything in order. We are in IL.

I was in Ch13 for a 3 months and converted to Ch7 before my plan was confirmed. I had been paying $250 a month to the Trustee while I was in an unconfirmed plan though. When I converted, I got back all my payments minus the Trustee Admin Fees. I guess since I converted and the original plan was never Confirmed I got my money back! No complaints here!
