Car title after discharge

How long does it take to get a car title after the discharge? I can’t even get ahold of regional acceptance let alone ask about the dang title but did anyone else have trouble?

I would normally give them 30 days for receipt of the discharge order, and another 30 days to find it and mail it. I would then, after 60 days, write them and tell them that the discharge was entered and where is the title.

It happened to me. The creditor finally said they lost the title. Then, mysteriously, the title showed up some 21 days later.

You will need to reach the creditor that has the title. I would send a letter by CMRR (certified mail return receipt) and find their other means of contact (email, fax, phone, etc). Put them on notice.

It will take time for everyone to be notified that the BK has been discharged.

I didn't have a car title issue, but was dealing with the IRS who wouldn't set up a payment plan with me until they had the official notice. I owed post BK taxes.

Well I ended up finally getting ahold of someone this week and the account was never updated so he was going to update it to check the system and then I would recieve it with in 30 days.
