We are on the homestretch with 6 more payments of our 5 yr plan. We had a ton of cc debt due to a 7 yr illness. We were never behind on mtg or car loans but just could not continue paying the major credit card debt. We have been able to move thru this long journey with no issues very thankfully. We own our home in a retirement community but do not own the land, we pay a land lease with us a hefty 800-/mo. Anyway it’s like groundhogs day and 3 months ago diagnosed with a terminal blood cancer. We want to sell home and move closer to family and my treating Oncologist. Attorney office states they can petition the Court to sell they do it all the time. Proceeds would be dumped right into a new home. However my husband is worried this will rock the boat. As said we have had zero issues and do not want any. Question is here in mid-Florida do we try and just suck it up and wait or is it really not a big deal as the Attorney office makes it out to be? Even tho last payment is Jan 2024 I know we will have several months at least after until we are discharged.

Swimming, certainly upstream. In your case I don't see the Trustee complaining that you're just moving (swapping one home for another) so long as there is not a major change in your costs. Your attorney says it's not a big deal and I believe them. I moved during the last year of my Chapter 13.Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
