    Car purchase in active 13

So I recently decided to surrender my current vehicle to buy a less expensive replacement. I talked to my lawyer, and they recommended the local Honda dealer. I went by earlier this week, and selected a base model accord. They seemed familiar with the ch 13 buying process. I was able to get approved for an 8% loan for 72 mo, which I thought was great. I got the required form to my lawyer, and luckily within 24 hours I got approval from the trustee. Today I went to the dealership and the salesman didn’t know what to do with the form; they called the bank that had initially approved loan and they seemed clueless as well... needless to say frustrated so far...

I hope they get your paperwork figured out. I can understand the salesman not knowing. We always have a financial person at the dealership who takes over after the salesman gets a sale. I wonder why the bank seemed clueless maybe they need to contact the bankruptcy department at the bank. I haven't tried to get a car loan, but whenever I have a question I have to talk to the bankruptcy department the regular employees are clueless, though some tell you contact BK dept.
I am not an expert. I share my experiences in the Wonderful Wacky World of Chapter 13! Filed 3-30-18 Confirmed 7-11-18 Discharged 6-8-22

Hopefully it gets straightened out and what a great rate for being in a Chapter 13.

Well went back to the dealership today; and the salesman apologized saying the bank thought I was discharged from ch 13, not active. So now they're offering me a 16.2% loan for 72 months; but its still 0 down payment. They gave me an extra $1500 off the price of the car to compensate a bit... I'll turn that in on Monday hopefully it will go smooth from here on out...
