BTW... Monday night I took my first ever Improv class WooHoo! $5 donation, worth it. It was a bit strange at first but it was a total blast, and my comfort zone just got one step bigger. Barbisi rocked it on the stage as well. It was cathartic for both of us, especially her, I would say. Man can she yell!
Ok; spoke with the attorney a few minutes ago, had a brief conversation. What else is new right? Maybe I should offer to buy him a beer or something, for a longer convo. No, that's ok. I really don't want to talk with an attorney any longer than I have to (no offense!).
Anyway.
He spoke with the trustee today (again, briefly), who wants to wait til June 19 to see if any more claims come in. The trustee said there 'aren't enough claims / (OR) not many claims have come in....' something to that effect. We filed in February. I asked if there was any additional news regarding the education expense, pet expense, etc. and the attorney said, 'well that's what I was just explaining... the trustee isn't going to fight if there is not a reason to do so'. My thought... no ... you didn't explain... you just said it once, in a very brief sentence, with a New Jersey accent.... that's not **explaining**... but anyway. He has 25 years in this field; we have 2 months. So... see it from our point of view mmkay? Thanks. Mind you he was polite but brief, as Barbisi has said. Ok enough of that.
My thinking on this is:
If there are ZERO additional claims, then the current payment will remain in effect over the remaining payments, or the trustee may ask for a small additional amount. The attorney mentioned maybe $50 per month as an example.
If there are additional claims, then the trustee may have a reason to haggle over more payment.
What do all you fine folks think?
Thanks and have a great week!

Congrats on the improv class. I'm too afraid to do it. I have been known to hang out in comedy clubs.
As for the Trustee, your case, your attorney, and your money, I hope this is a sign of a good thing. There's a concept known as "tossing the Trustee a bone" in bankruptcy. The $50/month "additional" may be enough to appear the Trustee by giving them something to chew on and claim victory!
Best wishes!Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

Thanks JustBroke. that is my hope as well!
The Improv class was actually much easier than I expected. We weren't doing 'stand up comedy on the fly'; rather, we started out in a circle, looking at the person to one side, and we both clapped. That's easy enough right? Good ice breaker. Then it got more committed but it was fun, and a group effort. We were all in it together.

So, my question is: how likely is it that creditors will submit a claim between now and June 19, if they have not pursued the claim already. We filed in February; I will have to review the documentation for the specific time limit for creditors to submit their claim or forfeit their claim. I thought it was 60 days, so I also want to confirm that the trustee can legally extend the claim deadline. I assume they can do that, but for my education, I will verify anyway. Perhaps it is not worth their money, money, and money to pursue this.

Hey, every one, I just woke up after a three and a half hour afternoon nap (my morning started at 9am when my grief counselor stopped by and then the chiro ankle treatment was scheduled at 11am) and I am groggy and perplexed at to what is really happening here. I can only hope this may be a sign of a good thing (as just broke says) and not the beginning of something more sinister!
We had even more unexpected expenses yesterday when Mochi (our big Norwegian Forest mix kitten (9 months old) needed medicine for eye conjevitis, and we brought Shiori (our Ragdoll 8 month old mix) along to get her furry rear end shaved, and found out she has some mysterious gum infection and will need to be sedated and possibly have her tooth removed. The high end estimate is around $500, but these kittens are our feline children and we can't abandon them! We are switching bills to pay for this. (Zombie 13 is paid bi-weekly so it is possible to do this, although it is not with out risk). If all goes well for Shiori, she will no longer be in pain and she can eat dry food again. We are crossing our finger then that the 3 kittens (Gojira didn't need to go this time mercifully) will next see the vet for their 3 year rabies in November , December of 2017 and January of next year!
Naturally we hope we won't have to pay a dramatic increase to the trustee, as I still have many more treatments, therapy sessions, one more consult with the podiatrist (next Wednesday when I can hopefully stop wearing this boot.),ultrasound, routine blood tests, eyeglasses for Zombie 13, at least.the chipped front tooth (a big chunk can come out at any time), another cavity, new shoe orthotics (recommended by the podiatrist) NEXT YEAR, please!, and many other as yet unseen medical costs. It appears we can't change the HSA until June at least, according to Zombie 13.Last edited by Barbisi; 04-05-2017, 04:11 PM.
