Has anyone gotten legally separated or divorced while in a Chapter 13??

I have a question and I know I have to get with my lawyer. However, I wanted to see if anyone has had experience with this situation.
I'm getting legally separated, it takes a year to get divorced in NC. I own two vehicles and one of those my wife drives and I'm letting her have it.
This vehicle is being paid through the plan and is listed in the separation agreement that she'll get the title when it's paid.
If wants to trade this car in on something after we've separated, can it be done?

I didn't mention in my previous post. I filed an individual chapter 13.

I am so sorry to hear of your split. Since you have filed an Individual Chapter 13, I don't know that you have to amend your petition to bifurcate it from your spouse. Do scroll through the Chapter 13 forum, and see what folks have done in the past. This will give you some examples while you wait on your appointment with your attorney.
