Can a repo'd car be saved by filing chapter 13?

I have a friend who got one of those title loans (5K@ 199%). She's been trying to pay the $600 each month but the car finally got repossessed two days ago.
She's got this car and nothing else of value with about 16K in credit card debt.
If she files Chapter 13, will she be able to get her car back? Will she have to pay the $1600 to get the car back through the loan company and then file chapter 13 to keep her car?
    Thanks!

She may be able to get the car back if she files BK before it is sold. If she filed a Chap 13, the car loan would be paid as part of the plan. The questions is whether she should try to save it. She needs to talk to an attorney right away about her options and whether Chap 13 is really a better choice than Chap 7.

Filed Chap 13 April 2010. Discharged May 2015.
$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
