Payment #58 out of 60 - NDC Status changed from ACTIVE to Z-ABOUT TO CLOSE today

Hi Everyone,

I just want to express my happiness because I'm two payments away from financial freedom. My NDC Case Status changed from ACTIVE to Z-ABOUT TO CLOSE today. I can't wait to send November and December payment to finish this journey and start a wonderful 2016. We have both money orders ready to go. I need to admit that this FORUM has been very..very helpful to keep my wife and I motivated to continue until the end. Just by reading Discharge stories every month was an encouragement to keep us focused to the finish line.

This journey has taught me to manage my money more wisely and define the difference between the NEEDS and the WANTS. We have learned to live and operate in cash and my wife and I have been able to save and fund our emergency fund (3 months of monthly expenses) by sticking to our written weekly/monthly budget.

We started this Journey December 2010 but time has gone by so fast that we can't believe we are almost there.

The message to the people who filed BK13 recently would be "STAY FOCUSED AND DO IT, DO IT AND DO IT UNTIL THE JOB GETS DONE"

Congratulations and thank you. You are right, 2016 is going to be the start of a fantastic year for you and I'm very happy for you.
Your advice is so correct...having a budget and sticking to it is key. Start planning that new year's celebration!

Hello,
Payment #59 was received and posted Nov 2nd. I could not wait until December 1st to send last Payment #60 so I sent it on Nov 17th. It was received and posted in NDC today Nov 19th. I can not wait for the last two payments to be distributed on Nov 24th as usual and get my case closed and ultimately "Discharged". What a nice feeling is to get to the end of this journey. Now, I just have to wait patiently. But just by knowing that I don't have to send $750.00 money orders anymore just feels amazing.

Can't wait till I am a that point. I have 9 payments to go.

Not having that BK garnishment is going to dump $10 G a year that I will continue to save.

Hello,
We received a letter from the trustee stating that we have completed the payments under the confirmed plan yesterday. NDC Case Status changed from Z-ABOUT TO CLOSE to J-COMPLETED-PENDING FRA which means "FRA" Final Report and Accounting. My lawyer filed The Motion for Entry of Discharge Order yesterday, We saw it posted in PACER this morning. We are getting closer to the end and that's very exciting news for my wife and I.
We really thank this forum and all of you for sharing your cases and help all of us with positive support thru the entire BK process. In our case, just by knowing that we will have $750.00 extra every month to attack and pay off quicker my student loan make us very happy.
Good luck to everyone and remember to stay focused to get to the finish line. You guys are part of our family now.

This is the latest status on my case:

PACER shows today that the Trustee mailed the Certificate of Notice about the Order for Discharge to all creditors. They have 21 days to file and serve a written response. I hope those 3 weeks go really fast !!!
