    Entry of Default

    Just received a letter from BK court...it looks like an entry of default has been entered against my second mortgage co. They are listed as the defendant and they did plead or defend their case. It says default has been entered against the defendant.

    It sounds like it will be stripped since the creditor did not object. The court must now issue an order valuing the lien if the default order didn't include it. Then, after you complete the plan, there will be another order to void the lien. That is how it worked in my court. Procedures may vary by court.

    $143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
