Congrats on the discharge. I hope there is a program you might qualify for a rate reduction on the mortgage. My lender searched every program they could find and came up with one that we qualified for while in a CH13. Satisfying for both the lender and us.

Good luck and don't forget to update your signature.

I can do that mortgage for you. FHA. Make sure you call your current lender and request at least a 24 month mortgage history along with the trustee report showing no lates with the payment from the beginning. If not FHA your only option is to wait 2 years for confirming Fannie or Freddie product. Low to mid 4% as of today

Frustrated, don't let this offer for assistance narrow your efforts. Not to take away from Monty's good intentions. There are many programs available for just about any mortgage. Mine was a privately backed mortgage and I qualified for HAMP tier2. If your lender is interested in a profitable payback they will find a program to help you and them. Give them a call.

                              Spidge,
I highly doubt he will qualify for a "HAMP "(mortgage modification) and I cant imagine he would want to being he successfully paid off his plain, I highly doubt he is in distress. Realistically, his only option is a FHA being he is not discharged for 2 years It would have to be manually underwritten just as if he was still in the plan due to the newness of being discharged. There is no profitable "payback for he lender" since they sold the loan and only service it. HARP are only Fannie and Freddie ,HAMP is FHA ,USDA Freddie and Fannie loans.
