Hi All- checked NDC and it says " About to Close" anyone have some insight on what this entails? I know I only owe a little over $400 left of my plan but what can I expect to happen from here, once this is paid in full?

NDC showed that my case was about to close a couple of months before making my last payment. After I made my last payment the status changed to "completed". I was discharged last week, but the status on NDC hasn't change. After my last payment, the trustee made disbursements to creditors, filed a notice saying the plan was complete and sent me forms that I had to sign and send to my attorney to be filed with the court. The court then served notice to my creditors that they had 21 days to object to my discharge.
There may be more detail on the forms I had to sign in my other posts. There have been a lot of Chap 13 discharges around here lately. So, also look for posts by members who were recently discharged to learn of their experiences.LadyInTheRed is in the black!

Thank you Lady in Red and everyone who replied. Looks like I am down to $224.06 owed, with payments of $211.38 my next payment will be taken out on 6/24 then I will only owe $12.68 I hope that is all they take out of the next check. While this has really helped me out over the last 3-4 years I have missed the extra income and am ready for this to be over. I SEE THE LIGHT

The Wage Deduction is a taken in "fixed" amounts from your paycheck. For example, the Wage Deduction Order will read "$224.06 per pay period"... "until canceled by Order of this court or by the Trustee" (or similar language). It is likely that your final payment will in fact be $224.06 and the Trustee may or may not owe you a refund (more likely that you'll get a refund).
The key is to have the Wage Deduction cancelled effective for the last payment so you don't have issues as I did! (Mine was a conversion, but they kept taking payroll deductions of nearly $7,000 every month for two months... before I figured out how to get it to stop. In the end, I was refunded close to $13,000.)Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

Since it wasn't as if I had completed a Chapter 13, my experience may be different, but you can clearly see that not getting the Wage Deduction Order cancelled/vacated, you can quite quickly amass a lot of money with the Trustee. (So, the total time for me was about 6 weeks for the first check and another 2 weeks to get the second check.)
