thanks everyone! Next step is to clean up our credit reports. I'll probably wait a few weeks to see how everything is updated. I don't think I have requested my free credit reports in a year, so I should be able to get all 3. I do have a judgement that I hope I can get removed. It was actually filed 1 or 2 days after we filed, plus it was discharged in bk. I guess I need to talk with my attorney about that one. Plus I know there is at least one item that is listed as past due. I did protest that one and it shows my protest but still reporting the same way. If anyone has any suggestions for getting rid of the judgement let me know.

Some point in the future we will need at least one newer car, as both are now 12-13 years old. But they are still running, so we are good for a while anyway. Gives me some time to clean up our credit report.

I'm not in any hurry to get a credit card, but when I do, it will be to rebuild our credit again and never carry a balance.
