Still not a fan myself, while it may be the "latest and greatest" version it isn't the user friendliest version thus far. Time will tell but so far not digging it, but that's just me
I think that vBulletin themselves moved to a platform that worked well for mobile devices. There were many users, not necessarily on this board but vBelletin users in general, as well as site owners that wanted better mobile presentation. For years, many people used mobile applications like Tap-A-Talk to use vBulletin on their mobile device. So, this is really the culmination of the platforms. This is happening everywhere. My bank just did an overhaul to be more mobile friendly, even though they have a mobile app as well. As a person in this technology area I can say that you should expect more sites to switch to HTML5 (the latest "language" -- so to speak! -- of the web browser) and become more mobile friendly.
Personally, I'm still getting used to this new version as well.
