pro se AP case where i filed my response timely, now have been scheduled for a case management hearing.
i am in california central district.
what do i need to prepare for, or what should i expect at such a hearing?
i have no ability to hire an attorney, or get a free or discounted one, so that is not an option, as i am still unemployed, have no money, no assets...
opposing counsel is 100 miles away, do they have to show up? plaintiff is in same city, do they have to show up?
are they typically likely to show up?
are they typically likely to attempt settlement negotiations?
this will be my first face to face or face to telephone with plaintiff and/or opposing counsel.
any thoughts are appreciated.
