Filed Chap 13 April 2010. Discharged May 2015.
$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
The only people I have seen show up are local credit unions or very small local banks. Typically, they show up with a reaffirmation agreement and/or just want to take a picture of the car (that you may have driven to the meeting).
In all likelihood, no creditor will show (period).
Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10) Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

Any advice provided is not legal advice, but simply the musings of a fellow bankrupt.
I had 2 show up at mine, both small banks that held title to real estate. Both attorneys were very pleasant towards me, and all they wanted was relief from the stay in order to get their property back a.s.a.p. My attorney and I had no objections and it was granted.
No big deal.......
All information contained in this post is for informational and amusement purposes only. Bankruptcy is a process, not an event.......
None showed for mine or the 20 or so that were in the room with us. Just lawyers, debtors, and the trustee. One of mine was a local attorney who's office was literally across the street for the courthouse. He didn't show for the 341.
One of the creditors we filed against was American General Finance, now known as Springleaf Financial. AGF did NOT send a representative to our 341 meeting, instead, they sent reaffirmation papers--all filled out except for our signatures--to our TRUSTEE!!!!
He handed them to us at our meeting and said that we needed to discuss the matter with our attorney. We took them straight home, shredded, and burned them.
And you just need to hope that he does. If you have never seen a trustee give a creditor the riot act, you should. It's a hoot.
I bet that would be satisfying to see!
