We had our 341 this morning, Middle District of FL it went well for the most part. And like everyone on this board ...it was a quick 5-10 minutes, just the standard questions for the most part. At least we didn't get drilled like the couple before us did!! Our attorney had tried playing the "wild card trick" for my hubby exemptions since the homestead is in my name only but the trustee would have no part of it. I wasn't surprised really. The atttorney told us going in that 2 of the 3 trustees would be okay with it but the one trustee we got would not. OH Well.. it seems we have the worst luck in the world lately. So now we know the trustee is going to object to the exemptions and we are going to have the other car appraised and by the time it's all said and done we may have to pay her 1,300 to keep the car. No Big deal really considering we will hopefully be discharged of +100k in debt..I will def. do this before I convert to a Chap 13. We are over the median and my husband hasn't worked in 9 months so eventually he will land a job hopefully and not wanting to go down the Chapter 13 road...The trustee for sure is interested in assets....she looked over our jewelry we were wearing and as we were leaving I heard her drilling the next guy about the cost of his expensive looking watch... I do have a quick question for everyone though. How are the median income filers chosen to be audited/scrutinized by the US trustee? and when are you notified? Is there a chance the US trustee will get involved in our case now? Are we officially in the 60 day club now?
