Pacer....can the general public access records

Hi I just had my 341 meeting on Wednesday. It is an asset case, we have lots that are not developed that we surrendered to the Trustee. He didn't ask for anything else. Will he later want more?????

    Thanks

LOL, it is nice if the content of your post matches the title

    In any event.
Can the general public access records: YES (but they have to sign-up and create an account, etc...and most don't even know it exists)

Will the trustee want more? Depends, do you have other non-exempt assets or borderline exemption claims? However, the trustee doesn't need to TELL you at the 341 what he is going after. If the case is going to be an asset case anyway, the trustee will usually try to maximize what he can get, so he probably will go through you petition with a fine tooth comb and could very well come back and challenge other exemptions or request turnover of assets.

Thanks for the answer so quickly. I went to the pacer site and now can look at things as they progress.

Too bad you can't find out who's looking at your info on PACER!

I always assume that EVERYONE is looking at my information on PACER. That way, I don't worry about who it is, since it's everyone. Luckily, it's not Facebook where people can talk about you, post to your wall (if allowed), and generally spread whatever news that they want.
