Are Bank statements from internet okay? I have to have statements from 3/7

And, of course the statements come at the beginniing of the new month so do I ask my bank for statements from close of February to March 7 or do Trustees accept statements from online account? I'll email my attorney also but thought you folks would know.

Yes, the trustee will accept printed copies.

    Good luck

Some have suggested going to the bank to have a current statement printed out, but I just printed mine from the computer. It shows the last four digits of my account number, the name of the bank, and has our name/address on it as well. The trustee never blinked. He asked for the statements, I handed him the latest with the explanation that the bank hadn't processed that month's statement yet, and he was fine with it.

Definitely run it by your attorney, but these trustees have to know that banks process statements on a cycle and that cycle may not coincide with a 341

Thanks all. I was sure that was the case but not positive. I will run it by my attorney of course but after your comments, feel confident that those will fly.

Believe it or not, the law clerk emailed me back immediately (what is she doing there so late!!!) and said it was fine, just to include the 7th on the printout.

Can you believe my 341 is on April 1st - April Fools Day? I hope that does not bode ill for me, LOL. But, since it's a Friday and mine is at 2:00, I'm sure they will be very quick to get through all of the cases. Hopefully it will be a piece of cake.

The only things I am worried about are: I accidently used my Wells Fargo debit card at the gas station and since I only keep enough in there for the monthly internet payment, it created an overdraft (which I will take care of tomorrow!!) and of course it posted on the 7th so I will look like a real loser to the trustee.

Also, the bank I quietly took out my money from and started with a new small bank, at the advice of everyone here and my lawyer, had put in money for overdraft protection prior to my taking out my money and they won't close the account so it shows a consistent -350 (and growing). I tried to get into my account tonight and received an error message to contact the bank. Again I will ask my law firm, but hope I can show with last month's statement (and the previous ones for 6 months) that it is a consistent debit and not have to go to the bank to get a statement. That would be tough. They are included in my bk unfortunately.

          Advice?

Your bank statement will be as of the filing date. That is the figure that you will list on your bk petition, and the statement is the supporting documentation.

Depends on your trustee's instructions. We had to bring statements that covered our filing date as well as up to our 341. Your attorney should be able to tell you what your trustee requires. If you are pro se, the trustee should send you a letter stating what you are required to bring.

My attorney said up to and including the filing date. I may bring the rest in, just in case, but know it is not necessary.

Not to sound callous, but it is people that provide too much info that increase the opportunity for things to go wrong. Only answer the question asked and only provide the information required. You only can do harm by saying more and providing too much.

                    Good luck
