What's the next step?? Advice please

We had a quiet, brief 341 meeting, despite others typically taking 15-35 minutes on average. I'm fearful that it is just the quiet before the storm.

For those of you who have had trustees/judges object, did you get a feeling during your 341 or were you blindsided?

How long after 341 would we know if there was a problem, or would we have to wait until next court day?

Most 341 meetings take only 5 minutes or so. Why are you fearful that this is the quiet before the storm? As long as things are in order, there are no problems.

Cause I'm a nervous nelly, and that just seems to be my luck lately. And, 341's in our area take significantly longer...the average while we were sitting there was 20 plus minutes each, and many went 30-35 minutes as well-this was after a 40 minute scary story rant on what not to do while in a chapter 13. Trustee had everyone's documents loaded up with sticky notes to discuss points.... I just wondered if we'd know or get a feeling at the meeting that something was up....

The 341s prior to ours took perhaps ten minutes each, with one of them being an older lady trying to do it herself without a clue. The trustee was very patient with her in explaining what she needed to do including hiring an attorney. Another couple was trying to convert from a Ch7 to a Ch13, and there were some problems with their case.

Our 341 went pretty much as stated here in the forum. We knew going in that we had more things that were beyond our exemptions, so we weren't really surprised when we were ruled and Asset Case. We WERE surprised when our deadline for Creditors to file their objections was extended. We didn't know that could be done. And we were surprised when the order for an order for a 2004(b) Examination came along regarding a mortgage transfer we had made several months before we filed. We were so stupid about the whole process it was pitiful. And yes, we were *scared* during the whole process. We were not properly prepared by our attorney, and we had not found this forum until well after we had filed. Finding this forum did a great deal to ease our fears.....

        Good luck to you.
