I am so relieved. Sworn in, asked our names, asked if everything was current, keeping our home by pay and stay, then concluded. Chapter 7, no assets and now we wait.
So much worry and zoooom, done.
But....I really did pay for a great attorney and she is worth every penny we paid. Her cases were all like this. Thank goodness we found her.
As we were waiting to go in there was this one really obnoxious attorney being an a** to his client who was an older lady, telling her he had to have information from the year 2000 and every year thereafter, and he needed it now so they could complete what I am assuming was her chapter 13. Wow I listened to him go on and on to her with his cell phone shoved in his ear forever. I felt so bad for her.
Then we get into the little room that holds maybe eight people that the trustee was in and we got to listen to about ten minutes worth of questions that the US Trustee had written down for our trustee to ask them. I was terrified when I heard what they were going through. They were continued until next month awaiting more documentation. Presumption of abuse, over median, two homes, trying for a chapter seven and an attorney that was about as helpful as a fly.
I went and had a margarita and just got home. I am thankful this is done and now just have to wait for Feb 14 which is the last date for objections.
Thanks so much to everyone on this board, it has been truly the most helpful place ever.
