Military waiver for 341 meeting??

UPDATE I went to the lawyers today to sign the reaffirmation agreement for our Military credit card and when I walked in the door they handed me a letter from the US Trustees office stating our waiver was APPROVED!!! I literally had to fight back tears of joy!!!!!! I cannot wait to hear from my husband and tell him the good news

My 341 is on the 22nd, one week to go!

OMG, can't believe you have had to go through all this with 2 small ones, being pregnant and basically on your own due to your DH deployment! Alright.. I know a few of you have been waiting for my update... My scheduled 341 was at 0730. I was the 4th one to be called. I handed the trustee the waiver for my husband which she had no idea even existed, lol... She smiled and said wow thats great! She swore me in. Asked me my name, address, and phone number. Asked if I had any questions or needed to add anything to my petition. I said no. She said "Good luck to you and your husband, hope he comes home soon."

That WAS ALL!!!! I was in shock..

So here is my question. Before she started the meetings she spoke to all of us in general and said we all needed to send copies of our tax returns by April 16th... But the 3 people before me were required to sign a POA for her to take the refund directly from the IRS.. So does that mean she doesn't want mine? My lawyer listed our as exempt up to 14000... I asked my representing attorney after it was over and he didn't know. I'm assuming we are clear :-)


WOOOHOOO now I can relax!

I'd ask your attorney to get confirmation for you regarding the tax return. He should be able to contact the trustee and get clarification for sure.

Thank you! I contacted the paralegal and she said I still need to send it to the trustee.. If its under 10000 it will be mine and anything over they can keep is my understanding. Ours will be much less than previous years though since we aren't even paying taxes while he is deployed. Either way at least I don't have any debt to spend it on! :-)
