Yay mommi2many! Sorry I'm late on this response, but I'm glad your 341 was uneventful!

I have mine this Friday (19th.) My Trustee seems nice. He's been communicating by mail and seems pretty nice. He has already looked over all of our paycheck stubs and bank statements and just said he wants our tax return to look at from 2009.
I may be smarter than an attorney, but I'm not one. No legal advice here, people.

Woohoo! I looked on pacer a few minutes ago and see notice of no distribution. I'm really in the club now! I was having a bad day before this so this is an awesome pick-me-up.

Alright now...that's what I like to hear. More than likely, you'll get your discharge before the new year. Mine took about 73 days. So, take this time to get your financial plan and finances in order so that when you get your discharge, it truly will be a fresh start.

freedom--thanks for the great advice. I am working on a financial plan right now. I want to never be in this predicament again. Although, I've met some great people on this forum due to my horrible financial situation.

YEAHHHHHHH What a great day. I printed out my report of No Dist. That way i can keep looking at IT instead of going to Pacer to keep reading it as my reminder that I am this close.

Definately don't be to down on your self...as the old adage says, "Stuff Happens". I recently was talking with a friend about Iyanla Vanzant, who was a big self-help guru in the 90's and early 00's. She had appeared on Oprah several times, wrote a lot of books, had her own show, and had (and still has) a considerable fan base. Her income was about 1 million per year. But, starting in 2002, with her daughter being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, her world came tumbling down. She had spent 750k trying to nurse her daughter back to health, however, her daughter passed away the following year. If that wasn't gut wrenching enough, she lost two siblings, went through a divorce with the man she had been with for 40 years, lost her talk show, was dropped by her publisher, was fired by Oprah, and lost her home. She tried to get unemployment but was denied. This all happened over a span of 6 years. She's back now with a new book and despite her terrible pain and loss, a new outlook on life. Her lesson: Don't bank on what you "may" have in the future, but what you have now.

I wrote all that to say that EVERYONE has their tough times, and all of us who decided to file our BKs just found (and are finding) ways to wade through the water...or just stay the hell out of it. I hope your day gets better (you've still got 6.5 hours of it left). :-)

Thank you! It's better now with the report of no distribution and your pep talk. I got off the phone with my mom a couple of hours ago and told her about my bad day. It always helps to get things off my chest. Before hanging up, I told her in the morning I will be all "sunshiney" and I quoted to her what my aunt always used to say that my mom forgot: "what God has for you is for you! Well, my aunt recently passed away and that was her saying so I'm feeling good now because no matter what--what God has for me is for me!
