When trustee told one of the pro se filers she had a blank C , she didn't believe it. He turned his laptop to show her.
He said "see. there's nothing on it"

you would have thought the clerk at the trustee's office or one of their staff would have notified the petitioner prior to the 341. wasted everyone's time.
thats what really surprised me...how could those forms have made it that far. AND more than one filer.
Trustee actually continued with them and just told them to amend that form.
Must have been that it was a LONG weekend. LOL

really..i know when we submitted our petition our trustees office was in constant contact with us with questions via our atty and via email...by the time we got to our 341....it was really almost a no brainer...although there were the "general"questions and one or two about an extremely complex issue that was in our petition...however, i had submitted so many documents in support of our position that it was overkilled and our atty said it's not going to be a problem and it wasn't.
As I recall in my 341, I got precisely the questions that the trustee mailed to me to expect, no more, and was up at the table and back in about 5 minutes, even with the appearance of the evil Ex at the meeting to assert her right to be treated to "priority"...which the trustee promptly informed her was not an issue, due to the language in the settlement agreement. Amazing how avoidance of the word "support" or "alimony" in those pesky agreements can effect how they are treated. Oh, and I filed pro se, with nary a problem. I will admit mine was reasonably simple, and I am 8 days from the ability to complete a 100% Chapter 13 plan. Nothing quite like the light at the end of the tunnel not being an oncoming locomotive.
