We completed our 341 last week. We live in Texas and this is a rundown on what happened. We showed up about 15 minutes early. Our attorney briefed us again on what to expect. We didn't have to bring any documents expect for our DL and SS cards. We were about 40K above median and hope to discharge around 330K unsecured and give up one vehicle. Our attorney asked all the standard questions while the trustee listened. The trustee then asked me about my reduction of income and I wasn't able to give any numbers on amounts but I was able to answer to the reason for the reductions. I guess it caused a little bit of frustration with the trustee but I was nervous and I wasn't for sure what the trustee wanted and I didn't think the trustee wanted a answer that would have amounted to a guess. I told my wife afterward that maybe that was one of the reasons we ended up here since I never kept track of how much I made. Maybe that is one benefit of doing a job you love I suppose. The trustee asked about my current job status and then asked my wife her current job status. Afterward my attorney said he was a little concerned about the questioning about income. He said it could be either the US trustee wanted the trustee to ask about it or more likely since we were above median and high unsecured. I was surprised that not less than hour after the 341, pacer showed the 341 completed with a report of no distribution. I guess the trustee had WiFi on the laptop since there were others after us that day. Does that mean we are in the 60 day club? Does anybody know the reason that in most of the 341's I saw, the client's attorney ask the basic questions instead of the trustee? I would like to thank the BKforum since it has help me immensely.
