    Pre-341 Question from Trustee

My 341 is scheduled for 06/11 and yes, I am panicing! : ) Aside from that, I have a question from the packet the Trustee provided me that has me confused. The question is if I have paid garnishments over $1000.00. I owed taxes, and as a state employee, I was required to pay the taxes through payroll deduction as a condition of my employment. It is called a "Tax Agreement" by personnel. Then, I was garnished by Discover. I contacted personnel, hoping that the Discover garnished could be postponed (I hadnt file my BK papers at the time) since the state garnishment and I heard that you can only be garnished by one debtor at a time. Thats when they said no and introduced the term "Tax Agreement". Shortly after I filed, both State and Discover withdrawls stopped being taken from my pay check. When I contacted personnel, they stated that all they knew was that they were directed by the State's Department of Revenue to stop the Tax Agreement. DOR had apparently received notice of my BK. My question is this: Discover garnished $804.00 prior to the cease and with the state, it would well over $1000.00. Is the "Tax Agreement" still a garnishment?

    List It With Explanation

Frankly, I would list it as a garnishment and provide the explanation you have given here.
