Well I attended my 341 meeting today. While the meeting went quite fast, it went a little too fast. When it was my turn to go before the trustee, an attorney from the law office representing me came up. He began to state "we are in the process of working these modifications". He further stated that instead of my payment gradually decreasing as stated in my initial petition, it increased by one hundred dollars. Now I understand that this sometimes happens, plan payment increases, but to find out today was a slap in the face. Am I wrong to expect that my attorney discuss any needed modifications with me before or immediately after the 341 meeting? I didn't want to start hemming and hawing in front of the trustee, because it's my attorney's job to explain case specific information to me. I don't see how I can afford the increase anyway. I wish my story was more positive and I'm looking for the bright side in all this.

If I were you, I'd insist on a face to face meeting with the attorney to go over the figures - and insist that he answer as to why you only heard about the change at the 341?
They should not be able to file a plan amendment without your consent.Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
(In the 'planning' stage, to file ch. 13 if/when we have to.)
