That was the fastest thing in the world. The NOLO book wasn't kidding when they said 90 seconds or less in busy courthouses. I'm in DC and there were about 15 people scheduled for 2:00PM. My wife and I walked in, filled out a two-sided questionnaire that basically asked if we did the forms ourselves, if we owned any property and if it was our first time filing.
The trustee had us sit down, turned on the tape recorder and asked us about five questions. "Is everything here accurate. Are there any errors I should be aware of? Do you own any property not listed? Have any pending lawsuits? Any inheritances? Thank you, that's all the questions I have."
We were in there for less than five minutes if you include filling out the questionnaire and using the restroom.
Thank you so much to everyone who posts on this site. I've only asked two questions on here but I've been reading through this site for the last six months. Bkdefender and Justbroke are household names as far as I'm concerned.
