has anyone had Mr. Beskin as trustee?

Thats who our trustee is... we're in VA.

Anyone ever heard of him / had him / have him? Pro's - con's?

Our 341 is in 2 weeks.. shouldnt be nervous but, as typical - we are

It might be possible to go to one of his earlier sessions and listen in on what goes on. Bankruptcies are often very public affairs. I don't know if that would help you to feel better or not.

I thought about doing that...except we are the first clients of the day then I thought...what if I went to a different proceeding - on a different day? Wouldnt that look kinda dumb? LOL There I am.. just sitting there...watching and listening - no reason to be there, just listening

      A W K W A R D *snickering*

then..if he's mean... I'll be terrified *LMAO over here* good grief... I'll be sick as hell the day of our 341 if that happend! Wonder if trustees get mad if you throw up? hha ha

They aren't likely to ask you anything, except maybe ask if you are on the list for that day. If they ask, just tell them you are there to observe. The worst that will happen is they'll ask you to leave, but I doubt that will even happen. I believe it's a public proceeding.

I think that might be why they use teleconferencing down here. You get to sit in a room all by yourself. Even observers aren't allowed. Everybody has to wait in the hallway until they are called. And then you get to talk to a tv. And even that is on the other side of the room.

From my recent experience in San Diego, the 341 hearings are public affairs with a lot of people constantly walking in and out. I showed up early to watch my trustee in action and it calmed my nerves (see my other post in the 341 forum about my experience).

By all means go to your trustee's hearings on another day if needed. Worst case, you'll know exactly where to go on your day

                Good luck to you.
