james, when is your 341? I had mine on 3/18 2PM. Lasted all of 2 min. The trustee was not mean or nice, just all business. Asked very few questions outside of the standard. For some reason he wanted to know if I was renting or buying current residence.

My 341 in on the following Thurdsday, and also at 2:00 pm in Tuscaloosa. Why do I seem to feel sick about it....... How long did you have to wait before they finally called your name?? Were there an awful lot of people there?? I wonder why the trustee wanted to know whether or not you were renting or buying your home.... I wouldn't see what difference that it would make. I am renting and have included my landlord in the bankruptcy; therefore, I will be departing this residence on the very same day as my 341. Tell me more about your 341 in Tuscaloosa.

Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.

Like MMSbklawyer said, mine was very quick and painless. I think he was searching, some people actually buy property before filing and end up with non exempt equity like MSbklawyer said. Hard for me to see how but it happens. I saw two cases before mine, one with an atty and one with out. Two people apparently didn't show!
I got to it 15 min early, spoke with my atty. Went into the room where their was about 10 people waiting. Trustee came in laughing and carrying on with the atty's but then he turned serious, swore everyone in. Could not here what was being said from the waiting area which put me at ease some. Was called, showed him my ID's, answered the standard battery of questions. He scribbled NDR (atty said that was No Distribution Report) and it was over. 2 mins tops. From here I wonder if he reviews the cases more or if he's done?
